President Huber called the meeting to order 7:05 am.  He spent some time remember President H. W. Bush.
There were several guests: Some were:  Dr. Pete Wallace, Jennifer Skarda, Bob Dvorsky-Speaker. 
Announcements:  Trivia Night January 11, 2019.  Interact gave $59.00 for the Ride to End Polio.  Total for Club $2,660.00.  The Rotary Club of I.C. AM was the highest giving club in the District.  Total for District over $14,000.
January 8th a Baby Shower for Amanda at the club meeting.  The members are contributing money for a Bob Blaze Stroller.
Paul Harris plus 8 pins were given to Deb Ockenfels and Vernette Knapp.  Dick Huber received his Paul Harris.
Many Happy Bucks:  Congrats to Iowa Woman and Men basketball.  Pat Schnack moving to Wellington Codo.
Mark Patton, program Chair for December introduced Senator Bob Dvorsky. Bob will be out of office January 14, 2019 after being involved since 1979; 32 years in the House and Senate.   Zach Wahl will be representing District 37.
Bob updated the club on the National Council on Legislation .  He also spoke about redistricting and how Iowa has the fairest procedure in the United States. Redistricting happens every 10 years.
Two of the fastest growing areas are Ankeny and Waukee. Senator Dvorsky closed with thanks for the opportunity to serve as Senator all these years.
